Gösta von Platen is a multidisciplinary artist with a background as a fashion designer. He was born in Stockholm in 1991 but moved to Berlin after high school in 2010 to pursue his artistic ideas. An interest in identity and construction led him to study fashion design at ESMOD Berlin where he graduated in 2018, after also gaining experience in Antwerp, London and Stockholm. Since 2018 Gösta has been based in Paris where he worked as a menswear designer at Loewe, undertaking ground-breaking design projects for shows, collections, collaborations and celebrities. In july 2023 Gösta left Loewe to focus fully on his own artistic practice combining many media but primarely in painting and installation. In September 2024 Gösta will start the master course CRAFT! Textile at Konstfack in Stockholm to tighten the bonds in his practice combing his visual world with a material universe one can enter.
